What really is Y2K fashion?

 

     

    When you think of Y2K fashion, you think of the 2000s era. The 2000s era had a whole different wardrobe of clothing and style when it came to fashion. During the 2000s, there were many styles of clothing that were trending and continue to trend to this day. Certain outfits like low waist jeans with cropped shirts were found on celebrities. Mini-skirts and cute baby tees were on actresses and people wore track sweaters and pants for comfort. Butterfly clips and tinted sunglasses were popular and looking back at some of the cringe-worthy outfits like baby tanks with wide-legged black pants or blue denim on denim top and bottom. The 2000s had the gossip girl era where outfits were created based on their actresses and Juicy Couture made track suits that made their sales increase. To top off the track suits, celebrities like Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton would wear oversized Louis Vuitton bags. Y2K fashion is fashion from the 2000s that is unforgettable and fashion that influences today's trends.
